The
Hunt Is On....
We will push pole
you along into some
of the most pristine brackish water marsh sightcasting for monster
redfish
and black drum in our world-class fishery!
We will pick
you up at your hotel and take you 25 miles south of downtown
New Orleans out in the Mississippi River Delta which is alive with an
abundance
of wildlife like ducks, alligators, egrets, pelicans, nutria and
otters,
to mention a few. We fish out of Hopedale (The Biloxi Marsh) and Myrtle
Grove areas with conditions dictating where we go that day.
Other
fish we catch in the area include, sheepshead, flounder, speckled
trout,
and aligator gar. We usually fish one angler at a time as we
attempt to get you into position to cast to a tailing, crawling or
working
fish. Crabs, shrimp, and spoon flies probably are our most productive
patterns,
but bendbacks, poppers, clousers and rattle flies work well too.
We trailer
our boats, so we are able
to fish other areas where we can take you for bass as well. In the
Barataria
waterway system we can fish for speckled trout fishing bays, oil
platforms,
other structure and islands until we locate some schooling trout. You
also
never know what else you might catch. You haven't had fun yet until
you've
gotten into a school of feeding trout. We use clouser type flies with
weighted
eyes, minnow, shrimp and bendbacks work well too.
We fish
from (2) FL type flats boats-
an 18' HellsBay Guide O'Bannion and a 17' Maverick Mirage HPX Tunnel.
Boats
have cell phones and VHF Radios. Fly fishing trips are two anglers per
boat, and we can accommodate larger groups. Dockside lodging in camps
and
B & B's available! We can also fish you for bass & bream out of
the Caernarvon area of Plaquemines Parish. The Corps of Engineers put
in
the first freshwater siphon off of the Mississippi River into this
area.
To make things even better, the Wildlife & Fisheries Dept. has
stocked
the area with Kentucky & Florida strain in with our marsh bass. The
area is now widely known for its great bass fishing. They are expecting
some record fish to come out of this area.
Up Up
and Away....
In
addition to the New Orleans area
fishing, we have been arranging fishing and hunting trips all around
the
globe. We send people to Mexico for dove or duck/quail/goose combo
hunts.
If your group is large enough, we will personally escort your group and
make sure all of the arrangements go right.
We can
arrange a bonefish trip down
to the Caribbean, a trout trip to N. Georgia or whatever might suit
your
fancy for that once-in-a-lifetime trip. We have either been to many of
these destinations ourselves or have sent someone there before. We can
help arrange all the details for you from what to bring, what's
available
at the location, etc.
